Apples iPad 3G Dropping Quality on Media Streams

Want an identical experience when using a "Wi-Fi-only" iPad versus Apple's just-released iPad 3G? Guess again.

Electronista is reporting that a number of common applications, including the iPad's YouTube viewer, Netflix, and ABC's TV viewer, are running at downsampled resolutions over the 3G connection.

Netflix Watch Instantly streams to Windows Phone 7 Series

We just got a quick at Netflix for Windows Phone 7 Series, one of the third-party apps Microsoft's showing off here at MIX10, and it looks... well, very Netflixy -- it's red to the bone.

Unlike other mobile Netflix apps, this one's got Watch Instantly support and it looks great -- a real testament to the capabilities Microsoft's slinging.

Netflix Reports Record Breaking Sales

Netflix added 1.1 million customers to its ranks in the fourth quarter, a record for the 11-year-old company, and posted a 36% surge in profit, the company said Wednesday.
