Army surveillance bot approved for use by police firemen

The 1.2 pound Recon Scout Throwbot can whiz around a hostage site, showing police where the bad guys are.

But its maker needed an FCC waiver to sell the gadget in the US, and amateur radio operators are upset about further encroachment on their spectrum.
