Google is halting the collection of WiFi network information for its controversial "Street View" mapping service after admitting it mistakenly gathered personal data sent over unsecured systems.
The Internet giant had insisted previously that it was only collecting WiFi network names and addresses with the Street View cars that have been cruising

Google will begin letting users run encrypted searches on its flagship search site Google.com.
Ironically, the upcoming change came in a long blog post explaining that Google Street View cams had mistakenly� eavesdropped and recorded what people were doing on unencrypted wi-fi networks. Google, offering private and secure searches next week...
