Supreme Court Rules Pirate Bay Must Stay Blocked

Over 2 years ago the IFPI and other copyright groups brought action against Danish ISP Telenor demanding that it should block its subscribers from accessing The Pirate Bay.

Following a hearing which began a week ago, the Denmark's Supreme Court has ruled that The Pirate Bay must continue to be blocked, upholding previous rulings by lower courts

Yahoo Feds Battle Over Email Privacy

Yahoo and federal prosecutors are embroiled in a privacy battle testing whether the Constitutions warrant requirements apply to Americans e-mail.

The legal dust up concerns a 1986 law that allows the government to obtain a suspects e-mail from an ISP or webmail provider without a probable-cause warrant...

Comcasts BitTorrent Settlement Excludes Pirates

A few weeks ago Comcast decided to settle one of the class action lawsuits brought against the ISP in response to its BitTorrent throttling actions.

Affected users can now claim their part of the $16 million fund that was setup, but only if they state under penalty of perjury that BitTorrent was never used to download copyrighted content.
