Scientists Rocks Could Be Used to Capture CO2

According to researchers at Columbia University, peridotite rocks could be harnessed to capture carbon dioxide in large quantities, potentially offsetting billions of tons of CO2 emissions each year.

The rocks, found in Oman, California, New Guinea and elsewhere, produce calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate rock (both solids) upon contact with CO2. Read more of this story

Body Found Believed to Be That of Runaway Teen Gamer [Tragic]

Sadly, Canadian police believe that they have found the body of Brandon Crisp, a 15 year old that ran away from home in early October after his parents took away his Xbox 360 privileges.

Apparently, he had become obsessed with Call of Duty 4 and action was taken after it began to affect his grades. The boy was found on the Oro Medonte Rail Trail outside of Barrie, Ontario with a tent and a meager supply of food. Police are awaiting the pathology


Diebold faces GPL infringement lawsuit over voting machines

Artifex Software, the company behind Ghostscript, has filed a lawsuit against voting machine vendor Diebold.

Artifex says that Diebold is violating the GPL by including Ghostscript in its proprietary commercial product.
